Metallurgical Testing

AECTL offers an extensive array of metallurgical services, encompassing various critical analyses and tests. These services include failure analysis and investigation, material identification and recommendation, metallography (including both microstructure and macro testing), manual ferrite counting, and etch structure classification for preliminary screening before corrosion resistance testing. Additional services provided by AECTL include graphite classification, microscopic thickness measurement, grain size analysis, inclusion content assessment, and a range of other general metallurgical services.

While the majority of these metallurgical tests traditionally require controlled laboratory environments, AECTL has the capability to perform a number of these services on-site and in-situ.
